Step into a dynamic leadership role where you help keep our entire fleet running safely, smoothly, and reliably! You'll ensure all vehicles and equipment meet state and federal codes, insurance standards, and manufacturer requirements while overseeing preventive maintenance, inspecting work, and guiding staff through troubleshooting and repairs. Along the way, you'll support onboarding, safety training, coaching, scheduling, and payroll processes, all while keeping logs, inventories, and work orders up to date. You'll collaborate with contractors, monitor supplies, assist with budgeting and capital planning, and help resolve issues to keep the team moving forward. With your attention to detail and positive energy, you'll help maintain organized work areas, ensure PPE and training compliance, and keep our resort operating at its absolute best!
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure all vehicles and equipment meet state/federal regulations, insurance requirements, and manufacturer standards.
- Keep staff informed on current codes and maintenance requirements.
- Regularly inspect work quality and support development of policies, procedures, and training programs.
- Assist with onboarding, safety/environmental training, coaching, counseling, and performance management.
- Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs; guide staff in troubleshooting, equipment upkeep, and evaluating new tools/techniques.
- Coordinate on-site contractors and manage inventory needs, including ordering and tracking parts.
- Support scheduling, assignments, payroll processes, and maintenance planning (daily/weekly/monthly/seasonal), adjusting as needed for weather.
- Complete required records, logs, work orders, spreadsheets, and inventory documentation.
- Assist with recruiting, budgeting, capital planning, and data review to meet company goals.
- Help resolve departmental issues through meetings, one-on-ones, and performance reviews; document actions and ongoing needs.
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and ensure compliance with all procedures, PPE, and required trainings (Workday & Safety).
Education:
- High School/GED; or 1 year Technical/University School for mechanics or 2 years apprenticeship
Driving:
- Have a valid Driver's license and ability to pass the Snowshoe Driving Program
Preferred Experience:
- Must have ASE or equivalent certification in suspension & steering, electronics and brakes.
- Certified for State inspection license within 6 months.
- Performed mechanical, hydraulics, small engines, electronics work on vehicles and equipment.
- Computer skills Microsoft programs helpful
- Welding skills preferred.
- Supervisor/Administrative skills helpful
