BUSINESS ASSISTANT (Part-Time)
LOCATION: Huntsville, AL (on-site)
SUMMARY: The Business Assistant will provide administrative and operational support to ensure the smooth functioning of the PM&TS division's daily activities, handling tasks, and project coordination.

- Administrative Support: To include, but not limited to:
- Managing calendars, schedule meetings, organizing travel arrangements
- Conference booth set up, manning, and outreach to promote the company
- Human Resources (HR) Support: To include, but not limited to:
- Administrative - Prepare HR forms such as Personnel Actions, Leave Requests, Performance Evaluations, Form I-9s; Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information, and close coordination with Corporate HR
- Recruitment - Assist with the recruitment process by preparing Employee Requisitions, screening applications, scheduling interviews, and preparing offer letters
- Communication Management: Handle incoming and outgoing communications, including emails, phone calls, and postal mail, ensuring timely responses
- Document Preparation: Prepare and edit correspondence, reports, presentations, and spreadsheets to support business operations
- Project Coordination: Assist in project management by tracking deadlines and deliverables
- Office Management: Responsible for overseeing office supplies, equipment maintenance, office automation, and general office organization to ensure a productive work environment.
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- 2+ years of direct experience in administrative roles with a focus on multitasking
- Must be able to effectively communicate with others verbally and in writing
- Must be proficient in Excel
COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Skill in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment
- Must have proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS, CLEARANCE:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to sit at a workstation for extended periods; use hand(s) to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
- Most positions require ability to work on desktop or laptop computer for extended periods of time reading, reviewing/analyzing information, and providing recommendations, summaries and/or reports in written format.
- May be required to occasionally lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically less than 15 pounds.
