Job Description




As a Security Officer - Hotel Patrol Full-Time in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a prominent hotel and resort location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents. Your presence will contribute to a welcoming environment for guests and staff, while you deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to guests, staff, and visitors by following established security-related procedures and location-specific policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with emergency response activities as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property, including both interior and exterior areas, to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas to help to deter unauthorized access and promote a secure environment within the hotel or resort location.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and maintenance concerns according to Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
  • Collaborate with hotel or resort staff and local authorities as needed to address security-related concerns and support a welcoming environment for all occupants.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter disruptive behavior and provide assistance to those in need.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
