Job Location: Whitestown, IN Summary: The Shift Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for shift maintenance and asset reliability of production and process equipment, and for leading and directing shift mechanics. The Maintenance Supervisor will work with the Maintenance Manager to support the maintenance strategies, drive processes in support of the Hershey Lean program, ensure compliance with all Hershey safety and quality policies, and support meeting all plants' KPIs. This position is a 2nd shift position: Sunday - Thursday, 9:00 pm - 6 am In addition, the Maintenance Supervisor:
- Shift management of the maintenance planning and scheduling processes through work-order (SAP) prioritization and scheduling for maintenance activities.
- The Shift Maintenance Supervisor will support the improvement of maintenance processes to ensure sustainable asset reliability, including preventative and predictive measures, working with Business Unit Reliability Leads and Planners
- Collaborates with the Technical Assurance group to ensure asset management and inventory accuracy, and is responsible for ensuring maintenance financial efficiency.
- Support capital project work on your shift
- Accountable for the daily management systems supporting continuous improvement efforts, including defect handling and breakdown elimination (root cause analysis), while supporting equipment centerline and autonomous maintenance activities.
- Lead daily morning shift huddles and ensure quality handoffs between shifts
- Engages with Mechanics & Operators, providing training and coaching to promote ownership of equipment and processes
- Assists in the development and measurement of productivity in all areas of the operation.
- Coordinates and confers with maintenance personnel on equipment repair to ensure continuous operation.
- Improve operational management systems, processes, and best practices.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook.
- Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set.
- Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management professionally and efficiently.

- Computer program knowledge, including Microsoft Office and ERP systems; SAP experience a plus.

- Candidate must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
Minimum Requirements and Education:
- B.S. degree in Engineering or related discipline preferred - Equivalent technical experience will be considered
- Minimum of 3 years of maintenance, planning, or technical experience required
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and TPM preferred
- Experience with SAP-PM or other CMMS preferred
- Food/Snack industry experience and understanding of FDA, OSHA, and SQF regulations.
- Technical expertise or familiarity with industry-standard equipment.
- Computer program knowledge, including Microsoft Office and ERP systems; SAP experience a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to read and write.
- Assist with all other tasks assigned by plant management.
