Job Description




As a Security Officer - Alarm Response Desk in Phoenix, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Dispatch Officer in a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and supporting access control. You will operate alarm panels, respond to calls, and use technology to communicate and document activity. Your role prioritizes excellent customer service and strong teamwork, reflecting Allied Universal's commitment to a caring culture and innovative solutions for our clients.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the dispatch post.
  • Monitor and respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing dispatch systems and communication tools as needed.
  • Receive, prioritize, and dispatch calls for service to appropriate personnel throughout the location, maintaining clear and accurate records of all communications.
  • Coordinate with on-site personnel to relay important information and instructions in a timely manner.
  • Assist in managing access control by monitoring entry and exit points via surveillance systems and/or communication devices.
  • Document and report incidents, observations, and any unusual activities according to site protocols.
  • Support Allied Universal in delivering quality service by maintaining professionalism and a customer-focused approach at all times.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • CPR or first aid certification is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
