Summary Grad Nurse Trillium CenterFull-Time, .9FTE |36 hrs.ThirdShift BHCOR-CorTrillium CenterICorbin, KY The Adult Psychiatric I unit is licensed for 22 acute psychiatric beds for patients with a primary psychiatric diagnosis.The Adult Psychiatric I unit specializes in adult care of patients 18 years old and older with a primary psychiatric diagnosis. Under direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Graduate Nurse strives for excellence in the performance of care requiring substantial specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills. Centered on the patient as a whole person - body, mind, and spirit - applies principles of psychological, biological, physical, and social sciences. Applies nursing process and acquired nursing skills to design and ensure multidisciplinary and culturally appropriate patient care in keeping with a focus on healing and wellness. Incorporates established practice guidelines and regulatory standards, concurrently evaluating opportunities to improve patient's outcomes. The Graduate Nurse may not perform independently: all functions/actions must be performed under direction of a Registered Nurse. Job Description: Description: Assessment of patients' needs. Development of patient care plan/s Provision of direct care. Management of patient care delivery. Demonstrate leadership skills. Support for quality care. Customer relations and healing environment. On call requirement weekends/holidays picked by rotation. Operating Room Nurses provide care and support to patients before, during and after surgery. Clinical decision-making incorporates all four phases of the nursing process, critical thinking and creativity. Must be under the supervision of Licensed RN Requirements Registered Nurse: Current Graduate Nurse Provisional licensure in state of KY Bachelor's or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university. Basic Life Support Required. New employees requiring CPR-Basic Life Support (BLS)-American Heart Association should receive (CPR) training within the first week of orientation. Glucometer Training ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of assignment.
