Overview The International Operations Supervisor will supervise the import/export and transshipment of materials, equipment, products, packages and documents including fulfillment of customs requirements. This role will performance management and professional development of the International department. The International Operations Supervisor will train and develop international operations agents and assign work and resources to teammates. This role will supervise relationships with international service providers and partners throughout the globe, being the liaison for the international vendors to manage shipment bookings, ensuring timely transfers from logistics providers' warehouses and onward to final destinations, as appropriate. Responsibilities
Supervise the import process, customs documentation, shipping, and receiving of foreign shipments to ensure correct arrival time. Ensure compliance with the home and foreign country government laws and customs regulations
Qualifications Education * High School Diploma or GED (Required) * Some College/Associate's Degree (Preferred) Experience * 1+ years experience in people management (Preferred) and * 3+ years experience in International Freight Forwarding operations (Required) Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Microsoft Office Suite and computer Skills Medium * Ability to handle conflicts with positive resolution Medium * Strong oral and written communication skills Medium * Ability to work flexible hours and in a high-volume, high-pressure fast work environment Medium * Working knowledge of international air, ocean, and customs brokerage processes Medium * Working knowledge in Transportation Management System (TMS) Medium * Quality and service level agreements High Licenses and Certifications * - International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) (Required) and * - ATA DGR (Dangerous Goods Regulations) (Required) and * - CargoWise Certification (Required) and * - Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) (Required) | |||||
