Job Description:
The laser operator position safely performs laser cutting for a variety of manufacturing products. Performs typical laser cutting operations. Selects proper cutting programs and proper fixtures * Report to work on time and excellent attendance * Keep the work area clean and safe * Establish proper stop location, adjust laser beam focal point * Make proper set-ups for cutting operations * Perform prescribed maintenance as required * Perform all dimensional inspections * Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisor * May perform a variety of other tasks as production needs require * Commitment to safety rules Qualifications/Requirements * Strong work ethic * Previous experience is a plus but will train the right person * Strong orientation towards quality, safety and continuous improvement * Helpful to have Laser or CNC operating background * Competent at basic dimensional measuring and able to quickly learn the use of precision measurement tools * Competent at basic shop math * Basic computer skills * Blueprint reading capability * Ability to efficiently work in a team and coordinate work with other departments * Detail oriented, self-motivated and ability to multi-task * Must be able to safely lift at least 50# | |
