Security Officer - Retail Bike Patrol

As a Security Officer - Retail Bike Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within a commercial real estate location. Your role involves conducting regular patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and delivering outstanding customer service. You will interact with visitors and tenants, support a welcoming environment, and embody our values of agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity through teamwork and a people-first approach.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the commercial real estate property and its perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives.
• Assist visitors and tenants with directions and information as needed while maintaining a professional presence.
• Help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior within the property through visible patrols and attentive presence.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
