STS Line Maintenance is hiring experienced A&P Mechanics to support and grow our line maintenance station in Phoenix, Arizona. This role puts you on the front line of daily flight operations, working directly with aircraft, crews, and maintenance control to keep fleets moving safely and on schedule.

STS Line Maintenance is one of the largest line maintenance support providers in the United States. Our teams deliver reliable, high quality aircraft maintenance through a nationwide rapid response network supporting Part 121, 135, 125, and 91 operators.


Job Responsibilities

  • Report directly to the Station Manager and Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technicians
  • Work in close partnership with airline partners, flight crews, and Aircraft Maintenance Controllers
  • Maintain aircraft to airworthiness standards prescribed by FAA regulations, Airworthiness Directives, company policies, and best practices
  • Inspect, test, troubleshoot, adjust, and repair transport category aircraft airframes and engines using hand tools and test equipment
  • Maintain the highest levels of quality, safety, and integrity
  • Repair or replace defective components based on analysis of test results while following maintenance manuals, schematics, and technical documentation
  • Use precision measuring instruments to identify wear and determine repair or replacement requirements
  • Perform additional duties as required to support station operations
  • Work outdoors and in inclement weather as required
  • Aircraft supported include Boeing 737, Boeing 767, Boeing 787, and Airbus A320 family aircraft.

Required Qualifications

  • Current and valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant License with no history of infractions
  • Recent experience on turbine powered aircraft preferred
  • Own standard set of line maintenance tools (calibrated and specialty tooling provided)
  • Self motivated with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, climb ladders and stairs, and lift up to 50 lbs with or without accommodations
  • Ability to pass background check, drug and alcohol testing, and Customs and Border Patrol clearance
  • Basic to mid level computer and organizational skills
  • Experience working under an FAA approved Part 145 Repair Station or Part 135 operation strongly preferred
  • Inspection Authorization license a plus
  • Ability to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and technical specifications
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic aircraft systems
  • Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Strong customer focus, communication skills, and work ethic

Pay and Benefits

  • Rate of pay is based on experience and formal training and ranges from $32 to $40 per hour.
  • Full Time positions include PTO, Health Insurance, and 401(k).
  • Part Time positions are not eligible for benefits.
