Overview
This is a remote role that may be hired in several markets across the United States. The Senior AML/CFT Compliance Officer is a senior individual contributor role responsible for the 2nd line oversight and effective challenge of 1st line enhanced due diligence activities performed for clients and prospects involved in cryptocurrency-related and other high-risk business categories. This position requires advanced expertise in financial crime compliance, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence behavior and drive change across the organization. The officer will review complex business models and EDD documentation to confirm appropriate documentation and rationale to support decisions to onboard or retain clients. This role may provide expert guidance to business units and collaborate with senior management to develop and implement AML/CFT strategies that align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Responsibilities
Qualifications Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Experience in AML/CFT compliance, investigations, or related field; CAMS certification strongly preferred; Deep understanding of BSA/AML regulations, OFAC, KYC, and other relevant regulatory requirements; Experience with AML/CFT software, data analytics tools, and case management systems; Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skill OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Experience in AML/CFT compliance, investigations, or related field; CAMS certification strongly preferred; Deep understanding of BSA/AML regulations, OFAC, KYC, and other relevant regulatory requirements; Experience with AML/CFT software, data analytics tools, and case management systems; Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skill Preferred Qualifications: License or Certification Type: CAMS certification with specialization in Cryptocurrency risks strongly preferred; Demonstrated relevant experience performing due diligence and/or oversight of high-risk client onboarding including cryptocurrency-adjacent clients. Skill(s): Deep understanding of BSA/AML regulations, OFAC, KYC, and other relevant regulatory requirements, including regulations related to the cryptocurrency industry; Experience with AML/CFT software, data analytics tools, and case management systems; Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills This job posting is expected to remain active for 5 days from the initial posting date listed above. The base pay for this position is generally between $111,000 and $165,000. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law.
