Responsibilities

Cedar Hills Hospitalcurrently has an opening for aCook in our Inpatient Hospital.

Responsibilities include preparation and service of breakfast, lunch and dinner meals for patients and facility staff according to the approved menu cycle and production sheets.

Open shifts: Full Time; May be required to work occasional overtime and flexible hours.

This position has regular interaction with our in psychiatric inpatient population and requires respectful, calm, and professional communication with our patients that follows therapeutic care boundaries.

Cedar Hills Hospital is a 98-bed behavioral health hospital and outpatient services program that serves adults facing an acute behavioral health crisis related to issues of mental health, substance abuse and substance use disorder, as well as co-occurring disorders related to these circumstances. Our programs aim to provide lasting mental health rehabilitation through programs that re-establish a high quality of life.


Qualifications

Education:High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:Two (2) years ofrecentexperience in quantity cooking, a basic knowledge of modified diets; training in food service sanitation and possession of food service food handler's permit is required; experience utilizing industrial kitchen equipment and utensils; and some prior kitchen supervisory experience helpful.

Training: Successful completion of Handle with Care and Service Excellence training.
