Our Sleep Center was the first pediatric center of its kind nationwide, and our work is backed by decades of research that has shaped the field of pediatric sleep medicine. We have extensive expertise in helping families struggling with sleep problems ranging from the most common to the most complex. We see more than 4,000 children a year, and our doctors and nurse practitioners continue to help set the standards of care for sleep problems in children of all ages, from newborns to adolescents.

Key responsibilities:
  • Onboarding and rooming patients, vital signs, reconciling meds and allergies, responding to medical emergencies during study.
  • Triaging sleep study requests, allocating resources and plan of care for a successful, safe sleep study
  • Clinical assessment, safety huddles, and clinical decision making of patients admitted into the sleep lab for study
  • Collaboration and provision of care strategies for sleep technologists
  • Patient and family education regarding disease management
  • Assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and modifying plans of care in collaboration with APN and MD providers
  • Providing ongoing care coordination
  • Opportunity to contribute to research and evidence based practice development

Minimum qualifications:
Education:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Experience:
  • Ideally 5 years RN experience with inpatient pediatrics. ED and ICU preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work 12 hour overnight shifts 7 pm-7 am. Ideally 2 shifts/week.
License/Certification:
  • MA RN license
  • PALS

Please note: During a public health emergency, individuals in this role may be expected to take on additional duties to respond to organizational needs.

The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.

Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
