WHAT TO EXPECT
As an innovation leader, we look for ambitious, forward thinking, open-minded and well-rounded individuals to join our global team. As a Remote position you will be an DC Implementation Manager.
The Distribution Center Implementation Manager is a newly created role focused on driving large-scale distribution network improvements across Gates North America. This position blends project management and continuous improvement expertise to lead DC optimization initiatives, implement best practices, and support scalable, high-performing operations. The role partners closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, IT, and Corporate teams and serves as a key change agent in advancing operational excellence across the network.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead site leadership and front-line teams to ensure safe operations, effective staffing, strong associate engagement, and compliance with financial and operational requirements.
- Oversee daily distribution operations to ensure on-time shipments, rapid issue resolution, and consistent achievement of customer service expectations.
- Establish, monitor, and drive performance against key distribution, productivity, and service metrics using data-driven decision making.
- Championing a zero-injury safety culture through behavior-based safety, audits, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Drive adherence to quality management systems, ensuring compliance, visibility of issues, and execution of corrective actions.
- Support distribution network optimization initiatives, including process improvements, system enhancements, and automation efforts.
- Serve as a key point of contact for customer issues and support successful onboarding and launch of new customer requirements.
- Partner with IT to ensure effective system usage, data integrity, software compliance, and continuous improvement through analytics.
- Maintain full accountability for site financial performance, including operating and capital budgets, governance compliance, and SOX controls.
- Ensure facilities and equipment are maintained in a proactive, safe, and cost-effective manner.
ABOUT YOU
- A Bachelor's degree is required; a background in Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
- Remote position.
- Travel required 75%and may exceed this based on project phases.
- Eight or more years of leadership experience within distribution, supply chain, or manufacturing operations.
- Exposure to Lean or continuous improvement environments is strongly preferred.
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets, prioritize resources, and support sound business decisions.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking with the ability to translate big-picture vision into practical, results-driven action plans.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, global environment with shifting priorities.
- Change-driven mindset with hands-on experience applying Lean, GPS, and distribution optimization tools to drive continuous improvement.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, analyze complex situations, and solve problems effectively, particularly under pressure.
- Experience setting performance expectations at all levels and providing meaningful feedback to support employee growth and development.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety, with the ability to establish, model, and sustain high safety standards.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
