Overview/Position Summary:

The Business Development Manager for the Air Medical Program in Saginaw, Michigan will be responsible for driving strategic growth, forging new partnerships, and enhancing the visibility of the program within the region. This role requires a proactive and dynamic professional with a deep understanding of healthcare operations, emergency medical services, and regional market trends. The successful candidate will collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to expand service offerings, increase referral volume, and ensure the program's continued success in serving the community.

Duties/Responsibilities:

* Identify, develop, and implement growth strategies for the air medical program in Saginaw and surrounding areas.
* Build and maintain relationships with hospitals, emergency departments, EMS agencies, and healthcare providers to drive referrals and collaborative opportunities.
* Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitor activities, and potential new service areas.
* Represent the program at community events, conferences, and industry meetings to enhance visibility and foster connections.
* Lead outreach initiatives to educate stakeholders about air medical services, capabilities, and value to the region.
* Collaborate with marketing and clinical teams to develop promotional materials, campaigns, and educational resources.
* Track and report on key performance indicators, including referral volumes, partnership growth, and community engagement metrics.
* Assist in the development of proposals, presentations, and business cases for potential new contracts or expansion opportunities.
* Assists in the development planning process in conjunction with senior management.
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and organizational policies related to business development activities.

Qualifications

Education

* Bachelor of Science in Business, Management, Marketing, Healthcare or related field or a combination of education and experience.

Skills
* Management and sales training courses/experience preferred.
* Excellent computer skills in a MS Windows environment and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Strong analytical, problems solving, change management and communication skills required.
* Demonstrated facilitation and presentation skills.
* Critical thinking skills with the ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
* Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence decision-makers.
* Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the region as needed.

Experience
* Two (2) years of strategic planning and business development experience required; 5 years preferred.
* Minimum two (2) years of air medical experience in program services and /or management role preferred.
* In-depth understanding of services and operations within the air medical industry and healthcare industry.
