What you will do:
- Demonstrate the ability to adhere to and remain in compliance with all safety rules and PPE requirements
- Successfully complete classroom and DOJO training
- Read, understand, and work from blueprints, schematics, bills of material, routing sheets, applicable OMS documents, and other written, electronic, or verbal instruction
- Work with materials to complete assigned tasks to meet production requirements
- Operate tools and equipment to assemble, test, handle, manipulate and move components, assemblies, and final product
- Use measuring and testing devices as well as visual inspection to ensure the quality of products and conformity to all prints, work instructions and Quality standards
- Read and understand a level tool
- Maintain required records including quality checklists, inputs into specified electronic systems and reporting of all line issues into the appropriate data collection systems
- Successful completion of required skills training (e.g. crane and tugger operation, fall protection, etc.)
- Preventive Maintenance daily on all welding equipment
- Perform MIG processes 2G (Horizontal), Pipe (Turntable), 3G (Vertical down), and Auto weld
- Weld SAW 1G (Flat)
- Weld GTAW 2G (Horizontal) & 3G (Vertical)
- Weld 2G (Horizontal), 3G (Vertical Up) & 4G (Overhead) FCAW (Flux core welding)
- Use a plasma cutter and /or carbon arc
- Make minor ASME repairs
- Must be able to perform all skills at the beginner level
- Operate the small and large rollers to roll flat steel into shells and reroll shells
- Must be adept in operation of SAW & GTAW weld for general purposes, and specifically for usage on shells
- Must possess the skills involved with and the ability to perform circumferential welds on shells
- Sequentially, needs to be skilled in docking shells, combining shells
- Properly measure, check required dimensions on materials, items that are being worked on
- Final certification test will be the employee's ability to pass all ASME weld test listed above
Qualifications:
- The ability to read and understand written English
- High School Education/GED OR Minimum 2 years of related experience in a manufacturing/production environment
- The ability to use hand tools for extended periods of time
- The ability to read a variety of measuring devices
- The ability to read blueprints
- The ability to lift, push, and/or pull materials, stand for majority of the shift, and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining proper PPE
- Must pass skills assessment
