STS Engineering Solutions is hiring an experienced Senior Engineer to provide responsive, high quality engineering support to aviation customers across the United States. This is a fully remote position, open to candidates located anywhere in the U.S.

In this role, you will support daily aircraft maintenance operations through liaison engineering, structural repair design, analysis, and regulatory compliance. You will work closely with Principal Engineers while building toward becoming a primary engineering point of contact for established customers.

This position primarily supports minor repairs, with structured exposure and growth opportunities into major repair substantiation.

The Senior Engineer is responsible for delivering timely, accurate engineering solutions that support line maintenance and scheduled aircraft checks. This role requires strong technical judgment, regulatory knowledge, and clear communication with internal teams and external customers.

• Provide liaison engineering support including repair design, analysis, calculations, drawings, and certification support
  
• Develop structural repair solutions for aircraft discrepancies identified during line and check maintenance
  
• Perform structural analysis to substantiate aircraft repairs in accordance with approved data
  
• Apply cost based decision making when evaluating repair versus replacement options
  
• Support Principal Engineers while progressing toward independent customer ownership
  
• Interpret and apply FAA regulations including FARs, ADs, SBs, and Advisory Circulars
  
• Communicate engineering decisions clearly through written documentation and direct customer interaction
  
• Ensure all engineering deliverables meet regulatory, technical, and customer requirements
  
• Support engineering revenue goals through efficient, high quality execution
  

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university
  
• Airline or aviation related engineering background required
  
• Minimum of 5 years of aviation engineering experience
  
• Demonstrated experience performing structural analysis for aircraft repair substantiation
  
• Strong working knowledge of applicable FAA regulations
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  

• Proven liaison engineering experience with a strong emphasis on creativity and regulatory compliance
  
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while supporting fast paced operational needs
  
• Goal oriented mindset with strong attention to detail and quality
  
• Comfortable supporting customers directly and representing engineering decisions with confidence
