Between: $31.25 - $36.05 per hour Depends on Experience Summary The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator supports the EHS department by managing administrative tasks, data reporting, and training logistics to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including Cal/OSHA and OSHA standards. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate records, preparing regulatory submissions, and assisting with audits and inspections to keep operations in an "audit-ready" state. The position reports directly to the Director of EHS and works under the functional guidance of the Senior EHS Manager and EHS Specialist to ensure alignment and execution of EHS programs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Support the EHS department by managing administrative and data-driven tasks to ensure compliance with Cal/OSHA Title 8, OSHA, EPA, and other applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Assist in maintaining the Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) and Hazard Communication (HAZCOM) documentation, ensuring records are accurate and accessible for audits and inspections. Prepare and submit regulatory documentation and reports (DTSC, CERS, EPA, PHMSA) for review and approval by the EHS Specialist and Senior EHS Manager. Coordinate EHS training logistics, including scheduling, enrollment, and tracking completion in the Learning Management System (LMS); ensure training records meet Cal/OSHA requirements for topics such as PPE, emergency response, and hazard communication. Maintain controlled documentation and databases, including Safety Data Sheets (SDS), incident logs, training records, and KPI dashboards using SharePoint and Power BI. Assist with audits and inspections by organizing documentation, tracking corrective actions, and ensuring the timely closure of findings. (Specialist handles technical compliance; Senior Manager provides oversight.) Collect, analyze, and report EHS performance metrics, including incident rates, training completion, and audit results; prepare dashboards and summaries for senior management review. Provide administrative support for EHS programs, including invoice processing, budget tracking, and coordination of safety committee activities. Support emergency preparedness programs by assisting with scheduling and documentation for drills and ensuring compliance with Cal/OSHA emergency action plan requirements. Collaborate with the EHS Specialist and Senior EHS Manager to ensure alignment and execution of departmental objectives and continuous improvement initiatives. Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Education and/or Experience Bachelor's Degree in a related field, 3-5 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Education/experience in EHS with a specialization in data analytics or vice versa is a plus. Language Skills Possess sophisticated professional oral and written communication ability. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Mathematical Skills Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, plane and solid geometry fundamentals, and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with various concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Computer Skills Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams. Previous experience with Power BI, Power Automate, and assigning training in a Learning Management System is a plus.
