Business Development Analyst Intern - Summer 2026

The Opportunity

The Business Development Analyst Intern will gain hands on experience evaluating data, supporting market assessments, contributing to operational & strategic initiatives all while collaborating with experienced experts from Underwriting and Business Development.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead projects related to quantitative and qualitative analysis of client and business portfolios, client financials, and prospecting. /
  • Deliverables will be presented to senior managers and incorporated into business strategies
  • Market research and data analytics to identify opportunities and gain further insights

Qualifications:

  • Preferred Majors: Economics, Mathematics, Insurance/Risk Management, Marketing.
  • Eligible Grade Level: rising junior (2028) and senior (2027) undergraduates; Master's students. All applicants, including applicants holding a valid CPT/OPT visa, who will require employer sponsorship of a visa now or in the future will not be considered for this position.
  • Significant ability to deeply analyze complex and varied forms of data
  • Strong practical orientation, combined with quality focus, and structured way of working.
  • Affinity for new technologies and methods of analysis.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Critical thinking
  • Excellent skills with Microsoft platforms (Word, Power Point, Excel)
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, Vlookup, conditional formatting)
  • Ability to use PowerBI and Python are a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Effective leadership skills to drive projects and work cross-functionally
  • Thrives in ambiguity and working "in the gray" with the ability to define direction

This role will be based in Princeton, NJ. The base range for this internship will be $21.00 - $32.00 per hour. The hourly estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for candidates hired in this position in Princeton. Factors that may be used to determine your actual rate will include your specific skills, how many years of experience and level of schooling.
