Job Overview

The Senior Manager, Project Management - Estimating leads budgeting and cost development functions that support capital projects, programs, and initiatives. This role serves as a people leader, coaching and developing estimators to strengthen capabilities, ensure accuracy, and deliver consistent, high-quality cost outcomes.

What You Will Do



  • Establish, enhance, and maintain budget development and estimating standards and processes.
  • Monitor market trends and assess their impact on cost estimates and budget deliverables.
  • Provide technical guidance and training on best practices for project and program costing and administration.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to gather, share, and align on critical information.
  • Lead assigned process improvement initiatives to strengthen estimating efficiency and accuracy.
  • Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.
  • In addition to the essential duties mentioned above, other duties may be assigned.


Skills You Will Need

Capital Estimating Leadership - Proven experience leading budget development and estimating for complex capital projects, programs, and initiatives.

Cost Standards & Governance - Ability to establish, maintain, and continuously improve estimating standards, methodologies, and processes.

Market & Trend Analysis - Skilled at monitoring market conditions and translating cost trends into accurate, forward-looking estimates.

Preconstruction Expertise - Experience leading preconstruction and estimating efforts, including major project elements and phased cost development.

People Leadership & Coaching - Ability to coach, develop, and elevate estimator capabilities to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes.

Risk Identification & Mitigation - Strong judgment in identifying cost risks, barriers, and variances, with the ability to recommend mitigation strategies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration - Ability to partner effectively across disciplines to gather inputs, align assumptions, and drive shared outcomes.

Analytical & Communication Skills - Strength in producing timely, clear analyses and communicating complex cost information to diverse audiences.

Technical & Tool Proficiency - Proficiency in MS Office and estimating software to support efficient, accurate cost modeling.

Adaptability & Execution - Ability to operate independently, respond quickly to change, and deliver under shifting priorities.

Who You Are



  • Candidates with a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field are encouraged to apply.
  • 10-plus years of experience leading multi-disciplined teams.
  • Regularly required to sit, talk, hear; use hands/fingers to touch, handle, and feel. Occasionally required to move about the workplace and reach with hands and arms. Requires close vision.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.
