| Job Description |
The Owl Media Editor serves as editor for
HCC Owl Media.
Duties include writing and editing magazine articles; reviewing edition content; overseeing publication production; other tasks as assigned by supervisor and Owl Media Chief Advisor.
Employees of Harford Community College, including instructors for online and virtual courses, must be residents of Maryland or the contiguous states of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia or the District of Columbia; non-residents are expected to relocate to meet this requirement.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States, as the College does not offer Visa sponsorship for this position

| Required Education |
High school diploma or
GED equivalent and at least six college credits. |
| Required Experience |
Candidates must have at least 1 semester of Owl Media staff experience.
Equivalent technical training, education, and/or experience may be considered. |
| Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities |
- Excellent writing and editing skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively.
- Working knowledge of MAC computers, website publishing and social media.
- Working knowledge of DSLR camera features, Adobe Photoshop, and other relevant computer software systems including Microsoft Office.

Experience creating and/or publishing content for social media.
