DAS Installer - Core Job Overview A DAS Installer works on systems that improve wireless coverage inside buildings. This includes cellular carriers, and publicsafety radio systems. Work is typically performed in commercial buildings, hospitals, stadiums, data centers, airports, and large campuses. Key Responsibilities * Install, route, and secure coax, Cat5e/6, and fiber cabling for DAS networks. * Mount antennas, splitters, couplers, and other RF components. * Terminate and test coax and fiber using tools like PIM testers, OTDRs, and sweep gear. * Install and commission headend equipment, repeaters, and publicsafety BDA systems. * Read and interpret construction drawings, RF design plans, and floor layouts. * Perform site walks, signal testing, and troubleshooting. * Maintain clean job sites, follow OSHA safety standards, and document daily work. Required Skills & Qualifications * Experience with cabling: pulling, terminating, labeling, and testing. * Understanding of RF fundamentals (signal strength, interference, attenuation). * Ability to work on lifts, ladders, and in confined spaces. * Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and test equipment. * Valid driver's license; willingness to travel * OSHA 10/30, First Aid/CPR, or willingness to obtain Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Raleigh, NC. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
