The Benefits and Leave Administration Business Partner is responsible for the end-to-end administration, optimization, and delivery of employee benefits and leave programs. This role serves as the primary point of contact for employees, suppliers, and outsourced benefits administration partners, ensuring accurate plan management, compliance, system enablement, and a high-quality employee experience.

Key Responsibilities Benefits Administration & Plan Management

* Manage and administer U.S. benefit programs that include health and welfare, life and disability, wellness campaigns, retirement, and other supporting programs.

* Serve as the primary contact for day-to-day employee inquiries related to benefits and company leave programs.

* Act as the main liaison with outsourced benefits administration partners to ensure service delivery, issue resolution, and data accuracy.

Supplier & Compliance Management

* Lead supplier management activities (account management, performance monitoring, and business reviews).

* Oversee benefit plan compliance, reporting, and regulatory requirements, including benefit and retirement plan audits.

* Maintain Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs), plan documents, amendments, and required disclosures. Communicate appropriate notices and disclosures to plan participants.

* Serve as the primary contact for retirement plan audits and 5500 filings.

Open Enrollment & Employee Communications

* Manage and lead all aspects of open enrollment campaigns, including benefits, Nonqualified Savings Plan, and COBRA open enrollment.

* Develop and execute clear employee communications and supporting materials related to annual open enrollment and benefits programs.

* Facilitate open enrollment meetings.

* Coordinate with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and systems teams (IT, HCM, Payroll) to ensure accurate setup, testing, and deployment within Workday.

Leave Administration

* Serve as the primary employee contact for leave administration-related questions and support.

* Manage all leave programs, including parental and company leaves, disability, FMLA, ADA, and state-specific leaves.

* Partner closely with the HR team to manage leaves in accordance with the company's Attendance policy and applicable state regulations.

* Design, develop, and maintain a robust leave administration reporting to provide visibility into leave trends, utilization, and risk areas.

* Administer leave programs within Workday and Kronos, ensuring accurate leave data and system management.

* Develop and manage employee premium remittance processes for leave periods to ensure continuous benefits coverage.

Workday & Systems Leadership

* Serve as the primary lead for all benefits-related enhancements and support within the Workday system.

* Partner on benefits outsourcing project, open enrollment configuration and deployment, and new supplier implementations.

* Lead system testing, integrations, banking arrangements, supplier establishment, and CCAs process for all benefit programs.

* Ensure system functionality aligns with benefit plan design, compliance requirements, and employee experience requirements.

Team Support & Collaboration

* Partner closely with Total Rewards, HR, Payroll, Finance, Legal, and external suppliers to ensure seamless benefits and leave administration.

* Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and enhanced employee experience.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree is preferred

* 5 years of equivalent work experience in Human Resources, Benefits Administration, or Leave Administration (or a combination of experience).

* Demonstrated experience administering health and welfare, disability, and retirement plans.

* Strong knowledge of benefits compliance, audits, and regulatory reporting requirements is preferred.

* Hands-on experience with Workday benefits administration and system implementations is preferred.

* Proven ability to manage suppliers, lead projects, and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced hybrid work environment.
