Job Description




As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol in Clearwater Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a hotel and resort location, you will monitor and patrol guest areas and back-of-house spaces, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that can help to deter security-related incidents. You will greet guests and staff with professionalism, respond to concerns, document observations, and communicate clearly while supporting a caring culture built on integrity, teamwork, agility, reliability, and innovation.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of hotel and resort areas including lobbies, corridors, stairwells, parking areas, and exterior perimeters, noting and reporting unusual activity and/or hazards.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including guest disturbances, medical calls, and/or fire and alarm activations, and coordinate with onsite management and local responders as needed.
  • Control access to restricted areas, monitor entry points, and verify authorized access for employees, contractors, and/or vendors in accordance with location policies.
  • Complete detailed activity logs and incident reports, communicate relevant information during shift handoffs, and follow Allied Universal reporting and escalation procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A guard card and/or security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
