Job Summary Designs, implements, manages, and maintains the organization's network infrastructure to ensure reliable, secure, and high-performance connectivity. Role involves configuring and troubleshooting network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems, and monitoring network performance to optimize efficiency. Works with cross-functional teams to support network security, troubleshoot issues, and implement network upgrades or enhancements.
Essential Functions

Be the difference Designs, implements, and optimizes network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks. Configures and maintains network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. Ensures that network configurations are up to date and optimized for performance and reliability. Diagnoses and resolves network issues involving hardware, software, or connectivity problems. Implements network security protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and other security measures to safeguard the network from cyber threats. Monitors network performance using various tools and metrics to ensure optimal performance. Analyze traffic patterns, identify bottlenecks, and take corrective actions to improve efficiency and reduce latency. Maintains clear and detailed documentation for network configurations, diagrams, and updates in accessible manner. Generates and presents network performance reports highlighting areas of improvement and progress. Collaborates with Information Technology (IT)teams, vendors, and external contractors to ensure network reliability and support. Provides technical support for network-related issues and assists other departments with networking-related challenges. Plans and executes network upgrades to ensure minimal downtime to support growth as business needs evolve. Identifies and resolves network bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and other issues. Works with other IT teams (systems, database, etc.) to integrate network solutions with other systems. Available onsite or remote during scheduled or unscheduled network maintenance and outages to assist in new implementations and upgrades. Shares On-Call rotation duty Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
Education - Bachelor's degree in related field of study Experience - Two (2) years network experience to include Network Infrastructure with familiarity of routing, switching, wireless, and security systems.
In Lieu Of
In lieu of the education and experience requirements noted above, an equivalent combination of work/academic experience may be considered (i.e., HS diploma and six years of experience, Associate degree and four years of experience)
Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses
Valid driver's license, an acceptable motor vehicle record as defined by the Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) Chart, and proof of auto insurance. Professional certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), CompTIA Network+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or similar preferred.

Communication skills Interpersonal skills Analytical skills Troubleshooting skills Knowledge of at least three of the listed Network Technologies including Routing, Switching, ACI, VPN (Site to Site and Client), Firewall, DNS, DHCP, Load Balancers, Wireless, Identity Services, Intrusion Detection Systems, Authentication Systems, Data Center Technologies, Packet Capture and Analysis, IPV4 and IPV6, Unified Communications, and VoIP Technologies, Packet Analysis Knowledge of networking protocols and services such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/S, VPNs, BGP, OSPF, etc. Proficiency in network security concepts including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, VPNs, and encryption protocols. Proficiency with network monitoring tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG) and diagnostic tools (ping, traceroute, etc.). Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues using network protocol analyzers. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
