Job Description




As a Security Officer - Commercial Site Patrol/Post in Santa Ana, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and be a professional point of contact for tenants and visitors. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site leadership, and respond to security-related concerns with calm, customer-focused service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a commercial property setting.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas including common areas, corridors, parking areas, loading areas, and building perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and key areas, verify identification and/or access authorization as required, and assist with visitor management and contractor check-in consistent with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including addressing alarms, disturbances, and medical situations, and coordinating with site contacts and public responders as needed.
  • Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and other documentation accurately and promptly, and communicate observations to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
