As a Security Officer - Gatehouse Control in Joliet, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. You will greet drivers and associates, verify credentials, manage visitor logs, and monitor entrances while conducting routine patrols and writing clear reports. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Staff access control points by greeting and screening personnel, verifying identification and/or access credentials, managing visitor and contractor sign-in, and directing traffic flow as needed.
• Monitor inbound and outbound activity by checking delivery paperwork, confirming trailer and container numbers, and documenting exceptions per post orders to help support loss prevention efforts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services and completing required reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, yard areas, dock doors, and perimeter lines, reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and policy violations through established communication channels.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
