Overview

Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for an Inventory Specialist II, supporting TOS II, at Arnold Air Force Base, TN. The Inventory Specialist will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for supporting the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will perform inventory management functions associated with the maintenance of related records and documentation for the receipt, storage, custody, and issue of consumables, tools, bulks, spares, equipment, and permanent plant materiel to be received at any AEDC location. These activities will include reporting of warehousing activities, stock code development, materiel movement across the site, branch bench stock, provides oversight of min/max materiel activities, and other inventory related activities. Support the use of common work processes and procedures within assigned function across the TOS II contract.

Job Duties:

    Reports to and receives operational direction from the BNH Material Manager.
  • Reviews purchase order receiving documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading for accuracy and completeness, per policy.
  • Provides oversight of bench stock materiel activities.
  • Oversees and performs stock code requirements and development
  • Ensures that materiel is stored in accordance with established storage requirements and that the location of materiel in storage is properly reflected on the appropriate storage records (manually or automated).
  • Performs complete or partial inventories as required to validate inventory records.
  • Assists Acquisitions supervision with the overall responsibility of maintaining custody of materiel.
  • Ensures that issues of materiel are properly controlled and documented in accordance with AEDC procedures.
  • Assist with coordination disposal of surplus materiel in accordance with AEDC policies and procedures.
  • Maintains registers to control industrial gases bottle log, returnable reel log, and returnable containers.
  • Maintains correct inventory levels in the Computer Maintained Materiel System (CMMS).
  • Maintains a direct working relationship with the AEDC Branches concerning the receipt and availability of materiel.
  • Maintains direct working relationships with Purchasing concerning materiel delivery schedules and shipments.
  • Maintains tables and spreadsheets for all aspects of stock coded materiel.
  • Maintains direct working relationships with carriers and vendors concerning the receipt and delivery of materiel.
  • It is a condition of employment to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in Business Management or related discipline, plus 2 years of materiel management and/or related experience. In lieu of a degree, 6 years of materiel management and/or related experience.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • Current U.S. Citizen

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient in organizing tasks for completion by an agreed deadline.
  • Proficient in computer-based inventory system.
  • Knowledge of operations related to the acquisition of material on work process, and the deliverables produced.
  • Good oral and written communication skills regarding technical and production matters with both internal and supplier personnel.

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations and refers to the amount BNH is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time jobs will be adjusted based upon the number of hours agreed to work.

Arnold Airforce Base $58,000 - $83,000/year
