Position Title: Material Handler - Temporary Despooler
Wage: $25.50/hour Shift: 12 Hour Nights Hours: 5:00pm - 5:30am QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a Material Handler at a company in Littleton, CO. This is a temporary position for the 12-hour night shift. In this position, you'll be responsible for accurately identifying, controlling and moving stocks around the plant and recording those movements in the relevant computer systems. This role also performs inventory counts and assists in the root cause investigation of discrepancies. This position is only open to QPS associates currently on assignment with this client Material Handler Responsibilities: - Identify materials within the facility and control their physical location - Perform physical transport, lifting, order pulling or picking, stocking, and receipt and delivery of materials to and from established areas - Move materials around the plant by manual physical transport requiring lifting, pushing, and pulling - Perform data entry transactions within the relevant computer systems to ensure accurate record keeping - Assist all areas/departments with material support for ECOs, samples, projects and/or plant tests - Assist in resolution of problems encountered pertaining to material handling and inventory control - Perform inventory counts and assists in the root cause investigation of discrepancies - Coordinate recycling program including prescribed sorting and coordination with supplier for returns - Follow company policies and established operating procedures for the assigned material handing operations - Follow detailed instructions and safety guidelines for filling, emptying, mixing and handling of chemicals and hazardous materials - Handle chemicals in coordination with company policy and OSHA requirements Requirements for Material Handler: - High School Diploma or GED - Previous SAP ERP system experience preferred - Previous experience working in a material handling role preferred - Previous experience working within a high volume repetitive manufacturing environment preferred - Ability to consistently demonstrate attention to detail with a high level of accuracy - Working knowledge of the regulatory requirements and operating procedures for the material handing operation - Ability to learn and operate all necessary tools and equipment for the material handling operation - Ability to work any shift, overtime or material handling area to meet business requirements - Ability to work in a clean room environment, adhere to associated policies and perform gowning of clean room attire in the allotted time prior to start up - Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and transport up to 500 pounds via carts/racks, up to 1,500 pounds by pallet jack and up to 5,000 pounds by electric pallet jack. - Good manual dexterity and visual acuity including ability to distinguish colors - Ability to regularly perform repetitive motions - Ability to work under fluorescent lighting QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
