Responsibilities

As the Deputy Project Leader, you will act as a dedicated, embedded project manager representing M.C. Dean within the construction and security workstreams of a world-leading technology company. You will bridge the gap between high-level client strategy and the technical execution of integrated physical security systems during large-scale capital construction projects.

This role requires a high degree of discretion and professional maturity, as you will be working directly within the client's ecosystem to deliver mission-critical infrastructure that protects global assets, intellectual property, and personnel.

Key Responsibilities
    • Direct Technical Coordination: Act as the primary project lead for the client's internal technical teams, ensuring hardware and software configurations meet global security specifications.

    • Construction Integration: Serve as the security expert within the client's construction workstream, coordinating directly with General Contractors, Architects, and MEP trades to ensure site readiness.

    • Internal Stakeholder Management: Work cross-functionally with the client's internal Network Engineering, Facilities, and Global Security Operations Centers (GSOC) to ensure system uptime and seamless integration.

    • Standardization & Quality: Enforce the client's global security design standards across all new builds and retrofits, conducting rigorous technical audits of installed systems.

    • Project Lifecycle Oversight: Manage the end-to-end delivery of security infrastructure, including procurement, scheduling, onsite installation oversight, and final commissioning/acceptance testing.

    • Risk & Issue Resolution: Identify technical bottlenecks within the client's internal processes and proactively develop solutions to keep construction milestones on track.


Qualifications

Education:

  • BS in Engineering (Preferred EE or Industry related degree) with 5+ years of experience.

Experience:

  • Related Construction experience with five years' working for an electrical or construction contractor.
  • Experience working on construction projects ranging from $500,000 to $10M.
  • Experience working with contract drawings, subcontracts, contract addendums, specifications, change orders, RFIs, submittals.
  • Experience with CPM Scheduling
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in the production of precision technical plans, blueprints and drawings on projects.
  • Must have strong interpersonal and writing skills and be a problem owner/solver.
  • Proven ability to effectively plan and organize one's own activities or the activities of others.
  • Proficiency with Computers including MS Office, Blue Beam, and PDF.

Preferred Skill set:

  • Accubid Estimating (Or equivalent) directly related to Electrical Installations.
  • Primavera P6 CPM Scheduling Experience and proficiency (or equivalent).
  • Ability and Willingness to Travel to project locations as needed.

Pay Range

USD $104,240.00 - USD $156,360.00 /Yr.
