Position Summary

Internship Overview

  • Full time internship

  • Duration: June - September (approximately 10 weeks)

  • Schedule: Standard business hours, Monday - Friday

Role Summary

Parker Aerospace's Group Communications team is seeking a motivated, creative Communications Summer Intern to support internal and external communications projects. This internship offers hands-on experience in content creation, tradeshow support, brand reputation and a broad overview of working within a global team.

You will partner with various communications professionals, key internal stakeholders, external agencies and other team members across the organization.

Responsibilities

Content Creation:

  • Write, edit, and proofread copy for the intranet, newsletters, emails, and LinkedIn.
  • Support creation of graphics, presentations, videos and other content as required.

Social Media:

  • Assist with the social content calendar and post scheduling.

Internal Communications:

  • Contribute to internal articles on the intranet.
  • Support any site-specific communications.

Events Coordination:

  • Support the management of event tasks, particularly in the build-up to the Farnborough Air Show, including, content, logistics, and messaging.
  • Ensure compliance with brand, legal, and confidentiality requirements.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or have recently completed a bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, English, or a related field.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a solid understanding of grammar and exceptional attention to detail.
  • A proactive communicator with a growth mindset.
  • Able to communicate effectively and collaborate with team members at all levels and incorporate feedback constructively.
  • Passionate about learning how strategic communications supports business strategy, culture, and brand reputation.
  • Energized by turning complex ideas into clear, compelling stories.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Curiosity about aerospace, engineering, manufacturing, sustainability, and innovation.

Pay, Benefits, Work Schedule

Competitive Compensation

  • Pay Range: $14.85/hr to $24.75/hr
  • No benefit plan eligibility
  • Eligible for Paid Sick Leave in accordance with state requirements.

Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as market and business considerations.
