Configuration Manager

We're looking for a senior CMDB expert to build a CMDB from the ground up and own it end-to-end - from technical design through long-term governance.
This role is hands-on at the start and strategic over time. You'll take us from basic asset tracking to a trusted, service-aware CMDB that supports Incident, Change, and Risk management.

• Design and implement the CMDB architecture from scratch (CI classes, attributes, naming standards)
• Lead service mapping across infrastructure, applications, and business services
• Integrate automated discovery and reconciliation across multiple data sources
• Embed CMDB updates into Change Management and operational workflows
• Establish and enforce data governance, trust rules, and audit standards
• Own CMDB data quality, reporting, and executive-level health metrics

• Proven experience building and stabilizing a CMDB from the ground up
• Strong technical background (infrastructure, cloud, discovery tools)
• Deep understanding of CMDB governance, auditability, and data integrity
• Experience with enterprise ITSM platforms (ServiceNow, BMC, Ivanti, etc.)
• Comfortable moving from hands-on implementation to long-term ownership

• Ivanti Neurons / automated discovery experience
• Scripting (PowerShell, Python, SQL)
• Cloud tagging and CMDB integration (AWS/Azure/GCP)

• Long-term contract with real ownership
• Greenfield CMDB build - no cleanup, no bandaids
• High visibility and lasting impact on IT operations
