Description
Acara Solutions has been providing aerospace firms throughout the U.S. with our staffing services for over 65 years. Our Sacramento region international aerospace client has an onsite direct salaried Quality Engineer position open. The salary range is from $110K - $128K for level III and $130K - $152K for level IV.
The Quality Engineer works with minimal supervision and uses originality, ingenuity and established procedures to control and monitor quality, ensuring products are consistent with industry standards, government regulations, and customer requirements. Must have knowledge and experience working with AS9145 and ISO.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Operations, Suppliers, and Customers) to ensure product quality and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and analyze production data, quality control systems, and critical points in the value stream to identify and address quality issues.
  • Lead root cause analysis, recommend corrective actions, and drive qualification of product and process changes to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Support audits, failure analysis, and reliability testing, while producing reports on non-conformance, quality trends, and root cause analyses.
  • Review and approve quality-related document changes (ECOs, MCOs, deviations) and implement continuous improvement strategies using data-driven methods.
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
Bachelor's in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing or related field
Min 5 years of quality engineering experience in aerospace or similar manufacturing environment (highly regulated industries desired)
Min 2 years of experience in AS9100, including AS9145/APQP
Min 3 years of experience with MS Office (Word, Outlook, PP and especially Excel)
This is an ITAR facility - U.S. Persons required (Green Card is fine)
Preferred:
  • Proficiency in Lean Principles and Implementation Tools
  • Six Sigma training and/or cert
  • Educational background in Structured Problem Solving, 5S, Mistake-Proofing and process capability tools
  • Familiarity with Minitab
  • ASQC Quality Engineer Certification
