We are presently seeking aRegional Operations Controller who will work out of our corporate headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA. and is committed to ensuring overall business success and corporate governance. We excel at delivering innovative and customized components, sub-assemblies and fully integrated photonic systems to meet the unique illumination, optronic, sensing and optical technology needs of global OEM customers. Main responsibilities: * Lead, develop, and manage a team of Operations Controllers across 6 manufacturing plants in North America, providing strategic direction, performance management, coaching, and professional development; * Act as the primary Finance Business Partner to the Vice President Operations North America, the Plant Managers, Operations Managers, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Quality leaders, to drive operational and financial performance; * Own and lead the financial planning processes for Operations, including Annual Operating Plan (AOP), quarterly forecasts, and monthly outlooks, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives; * Manage operational KPIs, productivity metrics, margin performance, inventory, working capital, and capital expenditure, delivering actionable insights to senior management; * Oversee and standardize month-end close activities across all sites, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, SOX compliance, and adherence to US GAAP and corporate accounting policies; * Lead regional standard cost setting, annual cost roll, cost allocation methodologies, and product costing governance, ensuring accuracy and consistency across plants; * Drive inventory management excellence, including inventory controls, excess & obsolete analysis, cycle counting, and capital variance management; * Support Regional leader, Plant Managers and local continuous improvement teams on building, validating and tracking against business cases; * Provide leadership and governance for capital expenditure (CAPEX) planning, investment justification, tracking, and post-investment reviews; * Support internal and external audits, ensuring strong internal controls and compliance across all manufacturing locations; * Lead cross-functional and cross-regional projects to enhance financial transparency, operational efficiency, digital reporting, and business performance; * Serve as a key contributor to regional and corporate finance leadership forums, providing thought leadership and strategic recommendations. Requirements: * Hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; * Possess a minimum of 12-15 years of progressive experience in finance or controlling roles, with multiple years of experience within a manufacturing environment, including at least 5 years in leadership or people-management roles; * Demonstrate strong Operations knowledge, business acumen, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills; * Demonstrate deep expertise in cost accounting, inventory management, and manufacturing finance; * Exhibit strong leadership, coaching, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior operational leaders; * Exhibit excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; * Possess hands-on experience with and good understanding of ERP systems, preferably SAP; * Show advanced analytical, financial modeling, and presentation capabilities, with high proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; Power BI or advanced analytics tools strongly preferred; * Willingness and ability to travel up to 25-30% regionally.
