Job Description
This position is responsible for managing a team with primary accountability for the day-to-day oversight and effective operation of the Retirement Plans technology and business system platform, including application enhancements, ongoing maintenance, delivery, and implementation of new capabilities.

This role provides practical guidance on processes, practices, and applications used across the Retirement Plans technology organization. The role works closely with peers and business partners to support the execution of technology plans, ensure consistent application of standards, and deliver solutions that meet platform and business needs.

This position is responsible for managing vendor relationships and working with external software partners to support the delivery and ongoing operation of the Retirement Plans technology platform, ensuring services and outcomes align with Ameritas' objectives and best interests.

This is a hybrid role working partially in-office (Lincoln, NE) and partially from home.

What you do:

  • Lead a team of associates that support the technology platform. Responsible for directing and prioritizing work, evaluating performance, and providing coaching and mentorship to associates to support professional development.
  • Administer direction and manage change in accordance with established change management protocols by coordinating change requests, assessing impacts and risks, obtaining required approvals, communicating changes to stakeholders, and ensuring changes are implemented and validated as planned.
  • Manage and oversee external business system providers and vendors supporting Retirement Plans, collaborating with vendor teams to monitor technology delivery, service performance, and contractual expectations.
  • Responsible for managing and overseeing fee management and billing processes for Retirement Plans, including system setup, fee calculation, invoicing, reconciliations, and issue resolution, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with plan and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the planning and execution of technology projects and initiatives in partnership with internal teams and service and software partners to deliver solutions that enhance and support the platform. Establish timelines and work plans, assign tasks, monitor progress, remove barriers, and oversee the work of external contractors and consultants.
  • Oversee investment platform activities related to fund manager updates and corporate due diligence outcomes, including coordinating updates across systems, collaborating with internal teams and external partners, and ensuring timely and accurate implementation.
  • Provide input into planning and budgeting activities related to platform support and enhancements by estimating resource needs and costs, identifying operational and enhancement priorities, monitoring spend, and supporting adjustments to meet business and technology objectives.
  • Collaborate with business partner leaders to define and establish priorities for business system delivery and service. Direct and influence technical and business resources to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Identify, analyze, and lead the resolution of complex and high-impact issues affecting Retirement Plans technology and business operations. Ensure timely remediation, sustainable solutions, and minimal disruption to business operations and risk exposure.
  • Leverage technical knowledge to oversee system configurations, integrations, and processes. Guide development efforts, review technical solutions, and collaborate with developers and vendors to ensure platform reliability, efficiency, and alignment with business needs.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
