Position Summary:

This position is responsible for performing maintenance of pipelines and pump stations in assigned region. Act as liaison for company when interacting with outside parties and landowners. Maintaining daily activities related to pumping stations and miles of pipeline.

Major Accountabilities:

* Under emergency situations, take immediate measures to protect the safety of the public and the company's assets.

* Follow established procedures for lock-out/tag-out to assure safety.

* Supervise digging by third parties around our high-pressure pipelines.

* Make accurate decisions

* Thorough attentiveness to activities is required.

* Maintain and make repairs to pump stations and related facilities.

* Maintain all electrical and mechanical components at each of the pump stations.

* When required, direct and inspect work of contractors.

* Inform and enforce company rules and regulations on outside pipeline companies and outside contractors working in the region.

* Maintain and mark pipeline right-of-way for surveillance access and location.

* Monitor, inspect, and evaluate trouble areas along ROW that are reported by ground or aerial surveillance.

* Assist in the construction and modification of facilities.

* Observe proper environmental and safety procedures. Required to work weekends and 24-hour on call schedule. Performing scheduled inspection of devices and areas of the facilities.

* Assure that the pipeline route and right-of-way is adequately marked to warn others that may encroach on the pipeline.

* Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. Reduce potential risk to public safety and environment and minimize company liability.

* Improve operations efficiency and financial profitability through well maintained facilities.

Education Requirement:

* High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience Requirement:

* 3-5 years of Crude product pipeline or terminal experience, maintenance of pumping, measurement, and related equipment required

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Excellent PC skills, with proficiency in Microsoft products

* Strong attention to detail

* Requires physical labor related to maintenance of large pumps, motors, and valves

* Ability to work alone 95% of the time

* Ability to plan activities on the pipeline with a weekly to monthly time horizon required

* Ability to be alert and drive excessive miles daily

* Ability to manage time and scheduling to meet appropriate deadlines

* Ability to work successfully in stressful situations, and manage multiple tasks

* Ability to use awareness of relationships and impacts of data trends and elements to appropriately recommend actions that impact both near and long-term company operations and profits

* Ability to independently conduct job accountabilities

* Ability to take directions from supervisors

* Ability to work independently with limited supervision

* Ability to independently proof work for accuracy

Physical Demands:

* Climbing at least 60 feet on stairs at least a few times per week.

* Climbing at least 7 to 11 feet on ladders or scaffolding at least a few times per month.

* Lifting objects weighing up to 50 lbs. at least a few times a week, with the expectations that an employee can lift up to 100 lbs. with assistance, when needed.

* Carrying objects weighing up to 25 lbs. for up to 50 feet on a weekly basis.

* Walking 100 yards or more over 10 times throughout the day, with the expectations that employees could walk regularly up to 300 yards at a time for a total of 2 miles or more during a shift.

* Walking on steep inclines for up to 15 minutes at a time.

* Working in a crouching position several times per day for up to an hour at a time.

* Bending and stooping several times per day for up to 30 minutes at a time.

* Bending and twisting for up to 30 minutes at a time, including manually digging with shovels.

* Standing in one place for up to an hour at a time.

* Sitting for up to two hours at a time.

* Ability to wear all appropriate personal protection equipment, such as safety shoes, safety glasses, hard hat, flame-resistant clothing, hearing protection, respirator/breathing apparatus, and/or fall protection, as required by the job activities.
