The Division of Pediatric Psychiatry provides comprehensive mental health services for children and adolescents across outpatient, emergency, and consultative settings. As part of an academic health system and regional referral center, the division supports interdisciplinary care, training of future mental health professionals, and collaboration with community partners including schools, primary care practices, and community service boards. The department plays a critical role in addressing the growing demand for pediatric behavioral health services across the region, particularly for vulnerable and underserved populations.
The Pediatric Psychiatry Advanced Practice Provider provides comprehensive outpatient psychiatric evaluation and ongoing medication management for children and adolescents with a range of behavioral health conditions. This role supports timely access to specialty mental health care through direct patient care, coordination with families and community partners, and collaboration within an interdisciplinary team. Preferred Qualifications Board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) *Experience providing psychiatric evaluation and medication management for children and adolescents in an outpatient setting preferred but not required; new graduates with strong pediatric training and interest are encouraged to apply *Knowledge of child and adolescent psychopharmacology and evidence based treatment approaches *Experience working with conditions such as ADHD, mood and anxiety disorders, trauma related disorders, autism spectrum disorder, and behavioral dysregulation preferred but not required *Comfort collaborating with families, schools, therapists, primary care providers, and community partners *Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary and team based care model *Interest in teaching, learning, and participating in an academic clinical environment Background checks and pre-employment health screenings will be conducted on all new hires prior to employment.
