Supply Assurance Buyer is responsible for timely execution of MRP in SAP environment, will place purchase orders for goods and services needed in support of a manufacturing facility. Daily / Weekly you will manage raw material continuity of supply while maintaining and managing supplier relationships to optimize supply chain efficiency. You will analyze inventory movement / trends for optimum utilization, identify safety stocks, optimum batch size, process capacity, analyze and disposition excess and obsolete materials, use / develop reports and tools that could improve material flow and generate data or run standard materials reports, summarize and communicate conclusions generated from these reports, and recommend improvements. May conduct and report Supplier Quality Audits. Collaborates with cross-functional teams in global, mult-tiered matrix organization.

  • On Time and In-Full supply of product and services to Bio-Rad customers.
  • Manufacturing Efficiency.
  • Reduction to cost of goods/improved margin, as well as scrap mitigation.
  • Quality of product and communication within Global Supply Chain and to extended customers.
  • Meeting critical KPI's of Manufacturing and Global Supply Chain.


What You Bring:



  • Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Procurement / Manufacturing environment.
  • Expert knowledge and application of the principles of purchasing / materials mgt. and working within an ERP system, (SAP experience a plus).
  • APICS / CPIM certification a plus.
  • Expert in Microsoft Windows Applications (Word,Excel, and Powerpoint) required.
  • Firm understanding of Quality System requirement ISO / GMP manufacturing requirement.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical documents, instructions or reports.


Location: This position must be based in Hercules, California and requires the employee to be located within commuting distance of the office.

Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is $86,600 to $119,200 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
