Summary of Primary Functions: Provides technical leadership and support during preconstruction activities, including estimating, design review, coordination with project teams, and technical support to ensure successful project execution.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leads estimating and bid preparation efforts by developing accurate cost estimates that incorporate materials, labor, production, and logistical considerations.

  • Reviews client drawings, specifications, and project requirements to assess constructability and recommend optimized technical solutions.

  • Serves as the primary technical liaison for clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and internal stakeholders during the preconstruction phase.

  • Collaborates with sales, engineering, project management, production, and logistics teams to support efficient project planning and coordination.

  • Identifies potential technical, cost, or scheduling risks early in the preconstruction process and proposes mitigation strategies.

  • Provides technical input for proposals, bids, and contract documentation.

  • Supports the transition of project information from preconstruction to construction teams following contract award.

  • Ensures compliance with company safety, quality, and technical standards throughout preconstruction activities.

Certificates, Licenses, Registration: PE license preferred.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil or industrial engineering or other related field, with 3(+) years of industry or prior precast experience.

Experience:

  • 1 to 3 years of prior or related experience; preferably with precast/BDS sales, engineering, project management, or operations.
