Description

Our Spencer Street Center is seeking a Full Time Medication Assistant - QA to serve as a member of the care delivery team, providing quality assurance and administrative support, in the areas of medication assistance, documentation, and compliance.

This position will serve as a liaison between direct support professionals (DSPs) and the clinical/management team on issues related to medication and documentation. You will also ensure that processes and documentation are in full compliance with best practice and licensing requirements, in support of the best care for our clients.

In this position, you will review the medication administration/assistance activities of DSP staff and the related documentation. Ensure that medication records indicate compliance with licensing regulations related to medication administration/assistance as well as ASI policies. Create strong working relationships with DSPs in order to mentor and guide them in the areas of medication administration and documentation. Respond to inquiries from DSPs related to medication administration and assist them with problem solving and skill development. In addition, you must be current in all training related to medication administration and documentation. Know and understand ASI's policies and procedures in order to teach, support, and model those policies with staff. After DSPs complete medication administration training, provide additional training on the site-specific policies and processes related to medication

Qualifications.

Current Medication Administration certification.

A minimum of two years of successful work experience in an Assisted Living Facility or Residential Facility for Groups, where medication administration was included in the job duties.

Excellent organizational skills and a strong detail orientation.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under time pressures and meet deadlines.
