WAREHOUSE WORKER SEASONAL LFS

LFS, Inc. was established in 1967 and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Trident Seafoods. Our corporate headquarters is in Bellingham, WA and we have three year-round locations in Washington State: Bellingham, Seattle, and Poulsbo. LFS also has five year-round locations in Alaska: Anchorage, Cordova, Dutch Harbor, Homer (Kachemak Gear Shed), and Sitka; and two seasonal locations in Dillingham and Naknek. While our core business is supplying the commercial fishing industry, we have evolved to include industrial and sports netting sales, hydraulic sales and services, wholesale/industrial sales, recreational marine and outdoor sales, and internet sales.

Summary:

LFS is seeking a Warehouse Worker for our Dillingham Alaska seasonal location. Job runs from late-April to early August. The job requires you to work 8-10 hours a day, 7 days a week. Alaska overtime rules apply. This is a seasonal non-benefited position.

Essential functions (responsibilities, tasks, supervisory needs)

• Unloads containers with freight and/or finished goods.
• Sorts packages, stocks warehouse and sales floor
• Pulls orders for commercial customers.
• Makes deliveries to local customers.
• Takes garbage to the dump.
• Have a valid driver's license.
• Have basic knowledge of all aspects of warehousing, receiving, shipping and inventory control.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Perform other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.

Required Qualifications (education, years of experience, KSAs)

• 2-4 years warehouse experience
• Forklift certified
• Valid US Drivers License

Preferred education and experience

• Forklift certified or can be forklift certified
• Previous work in remote AK location

Work environment:

Fast, loud, busy. Retail sales floor, warehouse, production area, office, boat yard.

Work environment: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and cold. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Physical demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

The employee is required to talk or listen.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
