RECONCRAFT | Maritime Defense & Special Operations Programs

Position Overview

RECONCRAFT is a cutting-edge defense contract manufacturer delivering advanced maritime solutions to U.S. and allied special operations forces operating in the world's most demanding environments. The Director of Strategic Global Alliances - Maritime Programs is a senior, strategic leadership role responsible for shaping RECONCRAFT's long-term position across U.S. and international maritime special operations communities.

This leverages decades of leadership within Naval Special Warfare (NSW) and SOF requirements, acquisition planning, and coalition capability development. The position is central to aligning RECONCRAFT's product strategy, investment decisions, and capture efforts with future operational demand signals across crewed and uncrewed maritime combatant craft platforms.

The role reports to RECONCRAFT executive leadership, with close integration across Maritime Programs, Business Development, Engineering, and Program Management.

Core Responsibilities
Strategic Alliance Development & Coalition Building

  • Build and sustain a trusted global network of U.S. and allied military stakeholders, program offices, operators, and partner organizations focused on low-profile, expeditionary, and clandestine maritime capabilities.
  • Serve as a senior strategic advisor to RECONCRAFT leadership on partner nation requirements, coalition capability gaps, and emerging operational concepts.
  • Shape long-term relationships that influence future concepts of operations, acquisition strategies, and technology adoption beyond individual programs.

International Engagement & Partner Nation Development

  • Support domestic and international engagement with allied commands and partner nations, including FMS and international agreement pathways.
  • Assist in preparing RECONCRAFT leadership for engagements with foreign partners, providing insight into partner capabilities, priorities, and risks.
  • Lead or support near-term engagement planning for key partners and development of long-term international alliance strategies.

Strategic Planning, Investment & Market Intelligence

  • Advise RECONCRAFT leadership on strategic investment, resource allocation, and technology prioritization based on future demand signals.
  • Provide actionable intelligence on critical R&D efforts, including unmanned surface vessel (USV) initiatives and emerging maritime technologies.
  • Help position RECONCRAFT for first-mover advantage in future acquisition programs by aligning internal development roadmaps with anticipated requirements.

Business Development, Capture & Acquisition Support

  • Support the development and execution of business development and capture strategies across FAR/DFARS, OTA, FMS, and direct commercial sales pathways.
  • Participate in shaping proposals, engagement strategies, and teaming arrangements for U.S. and allied programs.
  • Provide early insight that enables RECONCRAFT to position solutions ahead of formal requirement definition and budgeting cycles.

Future Capabilities & Innovation

  • Provide strategic guidance on future maritime capability development, including replacement programs, technology insertion, and unmanned systems.
  • Assist in shaping RECONCRAFT's autonomous and low-profile vessel initiatives to ensure global relevance.

U.S. Government and SOF Community Engagement

  • Act as a senior liaison with U.S. Navy, US SOF, NAVSEA, and interagency stakeholders.
  • Leverage deep familiarity with the SOF Community Program Objective Memorandum (POM) process to provide insight into future procurement profiles, training demand, R&D priorities, SLEPs, and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs).
  • Support RECONCRAFT executive engagement with Pentagon leadership and senior SOF community stakeholders.

Program Execution & Mentorship

  • Serve as senior advisor and mentor to the RECONCRAFT Program Management on critical combatant craft programs.
  • Support seamless transition from prototype to production by reducing communication barriers between RECONCRAFT, and customer stakeholders.
  • Participate in preparation for and attendance at key contractual and technical meetings as appropriate.

Legacy Fleet & Lifecycle Strategy

  • Advise on long-term sustainment, SLEP, and ECP strategies for combatant craft and other platforms.
  • Assist Maritime Programs and Project Management teams in forecasting technology insertions, obsolescence mitigation, and facility/resource planning.
  • Support proposal development and engagement plans aimed at lifecycle extensions and capability upgrades.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Senior leadership experience within Naval Special Warfare, SOF community, or closely related defense acquisition and requirements organizations.
  • Deep understanding of SOF and NSW capability development, POM planning, and acquisition lifecycles.
  • Extensive domestic and international network across military, government, and allied partner communities.
  • Demonstrated ability to advise senior leaders on strategy, investment, and long-term capability planning.
  • Familiarity with FMS, international agreements, and coalition capability development.
  • Strong communication skills and credibility with senior military and government stakeholders.
