Shift: Monday - Friday | 1st Shift (6 AM - 3 PM) and 2nd shift as needed (3 PM-11:30 PM)

Your Daily Tasks:

• Submits and prepares shipping loads using internal and external systems.
• Assign trailers for shipments.
• Print required shipping documents.
• Provides proper paperwork to the driver upon arrival.
• Communicates to the driver any live load instructions and prints pick-up sheets for loading.
• Reports daily actions on end of shift report.
• Communicate and work with carriers and customers to resolve shipping issues.

The Transportation Assistant provides support for our client's facility by completing administrative and data entry duties for the distribution center's transportation department. Additional daily tasks will include but are not limited to:

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Detail-oriented with strong writing, communication, multitasking, analytical, computer (proficient in Microsoft Office software), team management, data entry, and mathematical skills.
• Abletoreadandinterprettechnical procedures,documentssuchasshippingdocuments,billsof lading, reports, and inventory documents.
