What you will do

Partnering with the CDU Operation Managers, Project Managers, Superintendents and Sub-contractors, you will support CDU installations, customer training, and company operations for customers and staff.

How you will do it

  • Based initially in Manassas Virginia to support the installation and commissioning of several phases of CDU installations. This role may subsequently extend to other North American territories

  • Provide support of highly technical and sophisticated custom products.

  • Achieve and exceed Customer Satisfaction objectives.

  • Perform standard routine procedures to isolate and fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to be flexible to adjust to changing field conditions.

  • Understand project plans and specifications.

  • Attend all startup and commissioning meetings.

  • Verify that necessary Critical Documents are obtained, delivered and/or posted as required.

  • Enforce company safety regulations, standard operating procedures, and quality standards.

  • Work with customers, crews, and sub- contractors to resolve operational and technical issues and challenges.

  • Provide static/less dynamic programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting of building control and facility management systems.

  • Troubleshoot system problems. Calibrate systems requiring basic electronic test equipment.

  • Perform job surveys for estimating and sales as required.

  • Actively own the responsibility of writing and submitting Engineering Change Requests (ECR) to ensure the intended functionality, integrity, and safety of the product on site.

  • Initiate internal investigations with on-site personnel as well as internal engineering departments to respond to submitted Requests for Information (RFI) of the product during construction/startup.

  • Provide detailed and empirical data-driven reports that are structured in response to incidents that occur as well as scheduled field-witness testing.

  • Attend and report all Craning/Rigging activities on site with timelines and any noted damages. Compensation is considered for these activities when extending beyond normal business/site hours.

  • Established as a field point of contact for programming and software/firmware deployment packages and updates.

  • Field startup and construction that requires programming activities can be validated (Point-to-Point) and signed off for completion by the Field Engineer.

  • Serve as on-site leader for Silent-Aire commissioning (Cx) support tasks and activities.

  • While on-site, actively track issues and team startup tasks leading up to Field Engineer critical startup functions and post-startup Cx milestones.

  • Serve as the on-site point of contact for on-site personnel to create drawing and schematic updates as necessary through ECR submission. Validate drawings used on site or in the job trailer.

  • Independently manage a workload consisting of multiple projects with multiple deadlines.

  • Manage and execute work tasks and projects efficiently.

  • Self-check own work prior to review by senior staff.

  • Other company and project duties may be assigned.

What we look for

Required:

  • 4-year degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 3-5 year of on-site Project Management experience, or 2-year degree in Engineering with 10 years of Project Management experience

  • Ability to travel throughout North America, Europe, and Asia full-time (factory visits, onsite project support)

  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills
