Position Overview

We are seeking an Human Resources Generalist to support a recently acquired business unit as it integrates into our larger corporate organization. This role is ideal for an HR professional who thrives in environments of growth and change and who can balance operational excellence with strong relationship-building skills.

The HR Generalist will serve as a trusted partner to employees and leaders, helping to guide the organization through cultural and structural transition. Success in this role requires a collaborative, approachable professional who can build credibility, navigate complex interpersonal dynamics, and implement HR best practices in a way that supports both the business and its people.

This position supports the full spectrum of HR functions including employee relations, recruitment, compliance, HR administration, and training.

General Description The Human Resources Generalist supports the day-to-day Human Resource needs of the company including HRIS Data Administration, Hiring and Onboarding of New Team Members, Employment and Training record Maintenance, State and Federal DOT and EEO Reporting, EEO compliance, Employment Concerns, etc.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Employee Relations & Organizational Support



  • Serve as a visible and approachable HR presence, building trust with employees and leadership
  • Support managers and employees through organizational change with professionalism, empathy, and consistency
  • Address employee concerns and workplace issues with sound judgment and discretion
  • Partner with leadership to reinforce company policies, expectations, and culture
  • Facilitate constructive conversations and conflict resolution as needed
  • Collect and synthesize employee feedback to support continuous improvement


HR Administration



  • Maintain accurate personnel records and manage HRIS data
  • Partner with managers to identify staffing needs and coordinate with Vinci recruiting team to attract and interview potential candidates
  • Support hiring and onboarding processes, including drafting offer letters and coordinating onboarding activities
  • Process employee status changes including promotions, wage adjustments, and terminations
  • Manage unemployment claims and coordinate hearings as required
  • Coordinate performance appraisal processes with managers
  • Complete employment verifications and maintain required documentation
  • Assist with immigration processing and related administration


Training and Development



  • Deliver HR-related training including compliance and workplace conduct training
  • Partner with leaders to identify development needs and support employee growth
  • Assist in organizing professional development initiatives


Regulatory Compliance



  • Monitor and support compliance with federal and state employment laws
  • Prepare required reports including EEO and other regulatory submissions
  • Assist with internal and external audits

Education & Experience



  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5-10 years of progressive HR experience with strong employee relations and compliance background
  • Prior experience working in a union environment preferred
  • Experience in construction or manufacturing environments preferred
  • Experience supporting organizational change or business integration is a plus


Physical Demands. The following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an Office Clerk, to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.



  • Frequent ability to sit for prolonged periods of time;
  • Ability to drive a company vehicle for various recruiting events.
  • Frequent ability to talk and hear, both in person and by telephone;
  • Frequent ability to operate standard office equipment, using hand and arm dexterity;
  • Frequent ability to navigate through office environment, including periodic use of stairs and/or elevator, as needed;
  • Infrequent ability to lift general office documents and materials, up to 10 pounds;
  • Frequent vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.


Work Environment. The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those that an Office Clerk encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.



  • Work generally is performed in an office environment, although periodic visits to construction sites and manufacturing facilities may be required.
  • Noise level in the typical office work environment is quiet.
