Under general direction, administers, and coordinates educational outreach programs to middle and high school students including scheduling, communications, fee collection, data collection, and analysis; assists in identifying, developing, and implementing new/improved curricula, programs, and technologies; develops an annual marketing plan to improve revenues and customer satisfaction; coordinates with University departments to explore opportunities for extramural financial support; manages external communication and public relations; supervises student workers. As part of a rotating group of PASE coordinators, serve as onsite manager for workshops and/or rentals which may be held in the evenings, and weekends.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinates operations for all on site AIMS activities; identifies available program dates; schedules activities and handles registration and confirmations; responds to program queries; manages invoices, collects fees, and handles remittances/ deposits in accordance with University and department guidelines; schedules and confirms presenters and faculty; recruits and supervises medical school student presenters and other student workers, assists with adding to payroll & submits/approves time sheets; maintains appropriate records for activities.
  • Coordinates summer workshop activities including arrangements for speakers, presenters, and counselors; handles applications, acceptances, registration and overnight arrangements; creates daily schedules; acts as overall operations manager for summer workshops.
  • Evaluates feedback from students and teachers; works with staff in assessing current programs for improvements in content and presentation for all learning activities; helps identify, develop and implement new content, programs and technology for both on campus and distant learning activities.
  • In collaboration with PASE management, develops and implements an annual AIMS marketing plan to improve revenues and customer satisfaction; coordinates with University departments to explore opportunities for extramural financial support; identifies potential donor candidates either independently or in collaboration with other university departments.
  • Manages external communications and public relations for educational outreach in accordance with University guidelines. Responsible for Facebook and other social media accounts for both PASE Workshops and AIMS.
  • Manages office supplies and copier. Monitors building access to both entrances via security camera. Work in collaboration with Event Coordinator to support PASE workshop tasks, as needed. As part of a rotating group of PASE coordinators, serve as onsite manager for workshops and/or rentals which may be held in the evenings, and weekends.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of education program development and delivery
  • Knowledge of new technologies with application to education
  • Knowledge of purchasing, accounting and bookkeeping procedures

  • Ability to operate a personal computer and various software, including Microsoft applications
  • Ability to use social media for marketing purposes

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree; supplemented with three (3) years of related work experience.
