And everyone, in their own unique way, plays an important part, every day. Engages in a program of "on-the-job" training to provide behavioral health services to clients of the counseling center. Practicum students observe, learn, and use basic skills for behavioral health work consistent with the requirements of their academic institution. Interns provide outpatient behavioral health services including diagnostic evaluations and psychotherapeutic treatment services to children, adolescents, and adults in individual, family, couple, and group therapy; provides consultation and educational services to community groups and agencies in a manner which respects diversity.The Worcester Counseling Center provides integrated behavioral health and primary care services to adults, and couples age 18 and over. We offer integrated, whole person care with primary care, a wellness program, and behavioral health. The Worcester Counseling Center also offers specialized substance addiction treatment. Our medication assisted treatment offers buprenorphine and vivitrol treatment. We also have specialized services for individuals experiencing psychotic symptoms for the first time, and for individuals with developmental disabilities. Responsibilities:

Clarification: This role is in the Worcester Counseling Center, 17+ only, no child or adolescent work. Must be in an LMHC-track only (will be supervised by an LMHC). Screening and Treatment of Early Psychosis (STEP) Sub-clinic Specialty Focus: Coordinated Specialty Care (CSC) for the treatment of Early Psychosis. In this position, you will work alongside a Coordinated Specialty Care (CSC) team an in outpatient office-based setting, and provide care to individuals with early psychosis and their families. Learn about the NAVIGATE model of CSC and the roles of various team members - Team lead, prescriber, Individual Resiliency Training (IRT) clinician, Family Education (FE), Supportive Employment and Education (SEE), and Peer Support Specialist. Develop a clinical understanding of early psychosis and effective evidence-based interventions. We meet weekly as a team to collaborate on cases. There are potential training and supervision/consultation options to work in collaboration with the NAVIGATE model designers (some who were a part of the initial NIMH RAISE study that resulted in the widespread adoption of CSC in America) and leading innovators in the field. Attend virtual state-wide monthly Learning Collaboratives. Attend an annual statewide Mass-STEP (Strategic Action Plan) conference where research is shared an CSC clinics collaborate. Attend an annual virtual international conference for NAVIGATE providers.
