Overview of this Position:

The Quality Assurance Technician performs all Acceptable Quality Limit (AQL) inspections after the visual inspection and packaging processing steps. The Quality Assurance Technician also performs periodic retention inspections and routine document reviews.

Non-Negotiable Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Ability to complete tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Passing of post-offer vision screening.
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Previous visual inspection or quality assurance experience.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance principles and procedures in a pharma, biopharma, and/or biotech manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

  • Perform the incoming component and finishing operation AQL inspections (visual inspection, product labeling and/or packaging).
  • Communicate effectively with manufacturing to prioritize AQL inspections.
  • Uphold procedures and processes for AQL.
  • Perform monthly logbook reviews.
  • Perform routine current Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) reviews on documentation (inventory cards, logbooks etc.).
  • Sample finished product for retention and perform monthly retention inspection.
  • Provide input into supplier quality investigation reports, corrective actions/preventative actions, customer complaints, and deviation investigations from the visual inspection aspect.
