Job Title: Environmental Technician/ Environmental Coordinator (Air Quality) (Part-Time) Location: Providence, RI, 02908 Pay Rate: $28.27/hr. on W2 without benefits Duration: 04+ months Summary: Retained Knowledge Services to provide a Research Technician. The position will support the Center for Health Promotion's Fresh Air Providence program activities. Role & Responsibilities: Installing Purple Air PAII particulate sensors. Maintaining sensor performance through regular troubleshooting and maintenance. Maintain spreadsheets relating to the particulate sensors. Travel to off-site locations to perform installs and assessments. Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to keep technical records. Proficiency using Microsoft Excel. Excellent verbal communication skills. English/Spanish proficiency. Familiarity with the Rhode Island Health Equity Zones. Ability to drive to off-site locations. Has a reliable personal vehicle. Education and Experience: Education: Such as may have been gained through: graduation from a college of recognized standing in a relevant field, such as, but not limited to, public health, biology, and environmental science; and Experience: Such as may have been gained through employment in a responsible position in an agency involving technical support, monitoring, field work, or stakeholder Engagement, or any combination of education and experience that shall be substantially equivalent to the above education and experience.
