Senior Targets Engineer/Analyst

Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, is seeking candidates for a Senior Targets Engineer/Analyst to support Avion's Missiles and Space programs. This position is located in Huntsville, AL.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

• Will support targets projects with the development of target vehicles.

• Support target teams in all aspects of target design, analysis, and test, including requirements development and assessment, modeling and simulation, test analysis, and reporting.

• Support program offices in the analysis and reporting of flight, ground, and characterization test events.

• Technical focus areas can include any of the following list:

o Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC)

o Radar Cross Section (RCS) signatures

o Optical signatures

o Telemetry

• Collaborate with a dynamic team of experts in multiple technical areas to develop analysis and engineering tools.

• Utilize knowledge, skills, and experience with missile characteristics (physical, kinematics, signatures) and engineering to support engineering activities and data product development.

• Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

• Master's degree in STEM with 12 years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree in STEM with seven (7) years of experience.

• Experience with MATLAB, Python, and other programming languages.

• Must be able to work in a dynamic environment and have the individual flexibility to work multiple actions simultaneously and resolve time-sensitive issues.

• Strong communication skills to include oral, written, and briefing.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

• Must be a U.S. citizen and have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.

• Must be able to travel up to 15% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with M&S and/or DoW programs and processes.

• Experience with M&S flight testing program.

• Experience in any or all of the following disciplines: Design, Trajectory, GNC, Radar Cross Section (RCS) Signatures, Optical Signatures, Telemetry.

• Experience with threat system technical data from the Intelligence Centers and MDA threat system models.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to efficiently perform multiple tasks.

• Ability to communicate detailed technical information to technical and non-technical personnel.
